Smart card personalisation firm X INFOTECH has completed an eID card project in Latvia commissioned by the country’s Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA).
X INFOTECH says: “After many years of debating eID cards, the Latvian government passed the relevant legislation in 2011, to introduce a new type of personal identification document – the identity card – and ensure it could be legally accepted along with passports. “

The full solution consists of data preparation and personalisation using Datacard MX personalisation equipment and MultiPerso software platform, and PIN generation and printing, plus associated services, including project management, training, support and maintenance.
