The three proposals for the building, submitted by two groups, couldn’t be more different. Each part's full needle bearing trunnion allows for increased horsepower and quicker response, and a large roller tip helps prevent wear A fourth proposal, which district business manager Christine Hakes said was not compliant with the district’s request for proposal, will not be considered.

Camp Hill residents Dave Reager and Craig Bachik have proposed purchasing the building to repurpose it as a regional visual arts learning center.

Resident Bob Myers and his business partner, Hugh Simpson of Mechanicsburg, submitted two proposals for the purchase of the Schaeffer building. Although stone tool-dependent societies and cultures still exist today, most stone tools are associated with prehistoric, particularly Stone Age cultures that have become extinct. the building would be developed as condominiums. The second proposes demolishing the building for building lots.

All three proposals only include the purchase of the building and the immediately adjacent property. The open space currently used as athletics fields has not been proposed for purchase.

Reager said the proposed nonprofit visual arts learning center would be a compliment to the district’s Grace Milliman Pollock Performing Arts Center. The visual arts center would have gallery space, office space and would offAt her new home, the cat Twiggy plumped up, thanks, in part, to a love of cat treats ... Reager and Bachik have proposed leaving the exterior of the building intact. One wing of the building would contain art studios, the other wing would be used as office space for art and service-related organizations.

Reager said the entire project, which includes upgrades to the building’s mechanical systems, would cost an estimated $1.The approach uses fine Titanium Wire, laid one on another like a potter working with coils of clay.
