officials exploring future options

Some residents have called into question that number that was given Jan. 8 during a presentation by Park, Recreations and Grounds Director Kelli Hoover.

The city council unanimously voted to close the pool on Jan. 8.

Hoover recently told the Citizen Patriot that the $2.5 million was just an estimate from architects and the city is in the process of getting exact numbers. She hopes to have more exact figures by the end of this month. City officials also are looking at various options for the future of the pool as well as fundraising options.

“That was the first step,” she said. “Now we are moving on to what we are investigating for the future.”

Several residents have called into question the high number for the repairs and suggested looking to the donations given to the pool in the past to help pay for what needs to be fixed. In 2011 the pool received a total of $61,000 in donations and grants and Hoover said for the past three years it has been operating solely on donated money.

The pool takes $90,000 to $100,000 to run for 10 weeks each summer, including wages, utilities and chemicals, Hoover said. It generates $53,000 to $54,000 in revenue during that time, which the balance taken care of by donations. According to the city’s proposed budget,The approach uses fine Titanium Wire, laid one on another like a potter working with coils of clay. These wires are then smelted together in the rough shape of the desired component, cutting wasted material from potentially as much as 70 percent to as little as 10 percent.Visa announced recently that starting from Jan. 1, consumers can use their Visa payWave-enabled credit cards for any transaction amount in Taiwan, providing a fast, convenient and secure china payment option for Visa cardholders. the pool cost $89,331 to operate in 2009 and in 2011-2012 it cost $94,877.

Some of the repairs needed, according to the presentation, include: Replacing the pool’s nearly 40 year boilers for the showers, which are part of the original equipment; repairing chlorine damage to equipment in the mechanical room; and replacing the roof.

Corrosion also cause safety and sanitary issues in the bathrooms; the entrances to facilities are not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act; concrete is cracked and uneven and structural damage to the pool itself has caused significant leakage which leads to increased chlorine costs when the water is replaced, Hoover explained.

“This pool cannot be fixed, it cannot hold water,” Mayor Martin Griffin said during the council’s Jan.A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving an Upper Dublin Township trash trucks early Monday afternoon, according to officials. 22 meeting. “It is not fixable.” He added that the walls are buckling and the building is in disrepair.A Stone tools is, in the most general sense, any tool made either partially or entirely out of stone. Although stone tool-dependent societies and cultures still exist today, most stone tools are associated with prehistoric, particularly Stone Age cultures that have become extinct.

"Even if we had the money, there would not be a pool at the Sharp Park this summer (since it would be closed for repairs)," he said. Each part's full needle bearing trunnion allows for increased horsepower and quicker response, and a large roller tip helps prevent wear”

But it’s the summer activities that have many worried. The pool has offered many events such as swimming lessons, water aerobics, aqua zumba,Carbon Fiber Racquet Frame. During the 1970s, rackets got lighter still with the use of carbon materials. Fleming Delfs of Denmark favored the Carbonex 8, featuring a carbon handle and an aluminum alloy frame rehabilitation programs and has, on average, 10,000 participants a year. This summer those who want to enjoy those activities can do so at the programs the Ella Sharp Pool will offer at Parkside Middle School.
