But when the Longhorns did it Saturday evening, they managed the feat despite failing to score for the first 27 minutes of the contest. 

Texas gained 715 yards in a balanced offensive display (359 rushing, 356 passing), but stumbled early with a trio of turnovers in the first half. The reviews from the offense weren’t glowing on Monday, they know work is still needed to find consistency. 

“We realize how much we left on the field in the first half,” offensive guard Mason Walters said. “But we’re confident walking away that we have the ability to put up big numbers.” 

3. Road test welcomed: Road games often determine a team’s success. The good programs perform well at home, the best squads perform equally great on the road. 

Texas seeks to place itself in the latter category.
