Maui Jim updates original vintage designs with brand new features

The company's Auburn shop opened Tuesday. The chain opened its first location in Binghamton in July and its second in Cortland last month.

Hoopla will open in Newburgh in October. Locations in Clay, DeWitt and Township 5 will follow next year.

Shops are planned for Oneonta and the Scranton, Pa. area as well.

Video King grew to 33 stores in Upstate New York and Pennsylvania before Larry sold the business to Blockbuster.

- Sunglass Hut has a new location in the Macy's wing on the mall's second level.

Sunglass Hut had been in various locations at the mall previously, including kiosks.

- Sears Outlet and Kerwin's Cupcakes are the latest Destiny tenants to earn LEED certifications from the U.S. Green Building Council. Kerwin's and Sears are both on the second level of the mall's expansion in the Canyon area.

More than 30 tenants have already obtained certifications and more than 30 others are under review, according to Destiny.

Destiny itself is gold certified and is the largest LEED gold commercial building in the world.
